This attractive circular trail takes you through the abandoned villages of the Miholjice area to the largest lake on the island of Krk, called 'Jezero'. The trail is intended for mountain bikers with moderate fitness and technical skills.

The start of the Miholjice paths is in Sveti Vid near the Church of St. Michael, built in 1890, and begins with a gentle ascent towards the main island road. Passing through an underpass, you continue alongside well-maintained olive groves to the abandoned village of Sršići, where you turn left onto an old cart path that used to be one of the main routes from Omišalj to the town of Krk. In fact, there used to be a settlement called Semenj (called "samanj" in the Dubašnica Chakavian dialect and "semenj" in the Omišalj dialect) which had great traffic significance as a space for fairs and the exchange of goods and products by the inhabitants of the island of Krk. Not far from the path you are riding on is the abandoned "Popovska kuća" (Priest's house), which the old inhabitants of Miholjice built for their priest. There was once a watering hole for livestock called 'Petilokve', built by five brothers, but due to the appearance of malaria, the area was completely abandoned.

The cart path soon narrows into a dynamic single trail that will lead you to Jezero - the largest natural freshwater habitat on the island of Krk. Jezero is extremely important for the conservation of the biodiversity of the island of Krk, as well as the wider Kvarner area. In Jezero and its immediate surroundings, numerous wetland and freshwater vegetation types, otherwise rare in the karst environment, have developed, as you will see while visiting it first on a pleasant gravel road, and then on a newly renovated promenade. From Jezero, a somewhat more demanding ascent follows through the village of Sužan to Rasopasno. In the abandoned hamlet of Sršići, stop by the Chapel of Our Lady of the Assumption, dating from the 16th century, and listen to the silence that prevails in the village. On the way back to Sveti Vid, you still have to navigate a labyrinth of numerous paths alongside dry stone walls.
